1. Our approach
FlightWindow (the “App”) respects your privacy and limits the information it processes to what is necessary to provide and improve the service. The App does not use advertising SDKs, track you with advertising identifiers, or personalize advertising.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following information on your device:
- Focus duration, selected journeys, travel records, and statistics
- Active session and pause state
- Focus category names, icons, colors, and order
- Notification, display, haptic, and other app settings
- Category names and record notes that you choose to enter
- Opaque tokens issued by Apple that represent apps, app categories, or websites selected in Focus Guard
For the Free plan, this information remains on your device. You can delete local travel records from Settings in the App. Focus Guard selections are stored only in the local App Group and are excluded from iCloud synchronization and backups.
3. Cross-device synchronization with iCloud
When a FlightWindow Plus user enables synchronization, the App stores the following information in the user’s Apple CloudKit Private Database so it can be used across devices signed in to the same Apple Account:
- Session information used for focus history and statistics
- Start time, planned duration, and state of an active session
- Focus categories and app settings
- Category names and record notes that you choose to enter
The App does not transmit the timer’s remaining seconds every second. CloudKit Private Database data is associated with your iCloud account; FlightWindow does not create a separate sign-in account. You can delete synchronized data from Settings in the App. Apple’s privacy policy and terms apply to data processed through iCloud.
4. Subscriptions and RevenueCat
The App uses RevenueCat to check FlightWindow Plus entitlement status, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and aggregate purchase status. RevenueCat may process Apple purchase receipts and purchase history, a randomly generated anonymous app user identifier, and technical information such as the app and operating system versions.
The App does not register your name or email address with RevenueCat and does not use an advertising identifier for tracking. Apple processes payment details such as credit card numbers; neither the App nor its operator receives them. For more information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
5. Permissions and external services
Notifications
With your permission, the App uses local notifications to tell you when a focus session ends. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Focus Guard (Family Controls)
If you choose to enable Focus Guard, the App uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to restrict selected apps and websites only during a focus session. The App does not send your selections, app usage, or browsing history to the operator’s servers and does not collect the names of selected apps or websites. Restrictions are removed when you pause or finish a session. Device Activity provides a recovery mechanism when the App is not running.
Apple Maps
The App uses Apple MapKit to display views outside the airplane window. It does not request or collect your current location. Apple’s privacy policy applies to map data processing.
Firebase
The App uses Google Firebase to retrieve published flight routes, images, and minimum supported app-version information. Focus history, focus categories, notes, and app settings are not stored in Firebase. To protect the service, Firebase App Check may process information and tokens used to verify the authenticity of the App and device. Firebase may also process standard service data such as IP addresses and request information.
Firebase Analytics
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to improve usability and features. Firebase Analytics may process a randomly generated app instance identifier, app version, device, operating system and language information, approximate region inferred from a masked IP address, app launches, sessions, screen views, and information about in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Custom usage events sent by the App are limited to onboarding completion, the identifier of a selected published route, focus-duration ranges, completed or ended sessions, pause-count ranges, the source from which the paywall was opened, monthly or annual plan selection, and purchase or restore results. The App does not send focus goals, record notes, focus category names, Focus Guard selections, names, email addresses, or precise location.
The App does not include a Firebase Analytics configuration that handles the advertising identifier (IDFA). Collection of IDFV and advertising-personalization signals is also disabled. You can stop or resume the sharing of usage data at any time from Settings in the App. When disabled, subsequent Analytics collection is turned off and local Analytics data is reset. For more information, see Firebase Privacy and Security.
Firebase Hosting
This support site is delivered using Google Firebase Hosting. Google may process standard access information such as IP address, device type, and browser information to provide and secure the site.
6. Information received when you contact us
When you contact support, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond, verify the request when necessary, and resolve the issue. We do not sell it or disclose it to third parties except where required by law. It is deleted after a reasonable period following completion of the support request.
7. Retention and deletion
Records stored on your device and synchronized through iCloud are retained until you delete them. Using the App’s option to delete synchronized iCloud data removes data in the App’s custom CloudKit zone together with synchronized local data. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase history according to their policies for purchase restoration, legal compliance, and fraud prevention. Usage data already sent to Firebase Analytics is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics and Google’s policies.
8. Children’s privacy
The App does not provide features intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that information was sent without the required consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us through the support page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. Material changes will be announced on this page or in the App.
